I was pleased to be chosen to participate in the local artist series at the Augustine Casino Seven Feathers Restaurant in Coachella, California. Here are pics, including yours truly; they hung the paintings very well, and they were spread all around two rooms.
Lindsay Grant speaking for the Casino wrote in the press release: “We are thrilled to feature Richard’s Fox’s work in Seven Feathers …. His ability to capture the energy of people in motion and the changing light of the world around us perfectly complements the lively, elevated atmosphere of our reimagined restaurant. It’s an honor to provide space where our guests can dine among such evocative local talent.”
The press release goes on to say, “Fox’s exhibition focuses on the momentary impressions of daily life; people talking, moving, or simply taking in their surroundings. ‘Decades from now, if anyone wants to know me, they still can,’ says Fox. ‘Just look at a watercolor or an oil painting and you’ll see me.'”
