One of my first opportunities to exhibit after returning from Texas was at the Amsterdam Whitney Gallery in Chelsea in New York City. In a group show ostentatiously entitled “Efflorescent Dreamscapes,” I showed a number of large-scale oil paintings including “Reflection of a Cloud,” “Hansom Cabs” and “Labor Day, Central Park.” The opening was great fun. I even met a Baroness (or so she claimed).
