Honorable Mention for Painter of the Month

At the February monthly meeting of the Coachella Valley Watercolor Society, I received Honorable Mention for Painter of the Month for my painting “Bench, Lincoln Park.” I based this work on my recent trip to San Francisco where I visited the Legion of Honor Museum for the exhibition “Manet & Morisot.” I was inspired observing from the front of the museum through the trees a couple sitting on a park bench taking in the view of the Golden Gate and San Francisco Bay with the Marin Headlands beyond. I was pleased that members of the Society liked the result of my inspiration.
